I lived in the raval since august 2007. The place is losing his identity signs little by little. Now is a mixture of arty places inmigrant restaurants and shops. Very strong property speculation, that is thrown away all the old people from the place.Ten years ago was one of the latest popular neighbourhoods in the city. You can saw the people sitting in front their houses talking, open doors... Now the old people from Raval don't recognize the place. Money rules, you know :(

very good photos about the people that live in El Raval.

God Webpage? isn't exist...;P

To find an appartment in Barcelona is a quit expensive if you compare with other citys of Spain (i don't know how much is in Sweden...).

For exemple 4 years ago i lived with 2 other persons and i payed 240 euros x room. Was a very good price and the place and the zone was ok (in front of FC Barcelona stadium). I Was paying in Raval +-450 euros for a loft of 33 m2.
Now i'm living in other neighbourhood (guinardo)an atic with 85m2 45m2+ 40m2 of terraces(very useful here:),in sweden i'm not sure)2 rooms i'm paying now 750 euros.

if you want something serious, maybe the best is begin your search here:

http://www.coleadministradors.com/esp/borsaavan.asp

an oficial place, the oficial college of property administrators of barcelona. The bad new is that the web is only in spanish and catalan(our language). I found my home here.

Good neighbourhoods?

Bohemian but not calm, raval, gotico, and gracia, barceloneta (my sister lives here) near the sea.

el poble sec some bohemian places and quiet place.

cosy places but not bohemian (sants, les corts, el clot, sant andreu, poble nou) this neighbourhoods have old sections that 100 years ago were little towns)

i will ask to some friends for more information, ok.
